How to join Haywards Heath Dementia Action Alliance

The Haywards Heath Dementia Action Alliance (HHDAA) was set up in January 2016 and is a local group allied to the Alzheimer’s Society National Dementia Action Alliance programme. Local groups and businesses interested in helping Haywards Heath become more dementia-friendly are invited to join our alliance. The process is summarised below.

How to join If you want to talk to someone from HHDAA before joining, please contact Fatima Mirza at Haywards Heath Town Hall, on 01444 455694 or email, or Andra Houchen on 01444 211686 or email,

To become a member of the Alliance you submit an entry to the Dementia Action Alliance website, on behalf of your organisation. It is worth viewing the application process and preparing a draft entry.

Member entry on the DAA website 1. Log on to Dementia Action web site, 2. Click ‘Join the Alliance’ green tab on the right 3. On the ‘Join the Alliance’ page, fill in the form 4. In the Region box, choose South East 5. In Local Alliances, enter Haywards Heath Dementia Action Alliance 6. Then click the pink button and complete your ‘action plan.’ Proposed actions can be quite simple and straightforward. Please look at entries by other organisations for examples and ideas. 7. After submitting your action plan, you will get a message from the Alzheimer’s Society who will confirm receipt of your application. A week or so later you will receive confirmation that your organisation has been added to the Alliance members’ list on the Haywards Heath DAA webpage.
