Operations and Quality Manager

This is an exciting new position, providing leadership and management for an established but growing organisation delivering activities and support for young people with learning disabilities in Mid Sussex.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION Kangaroos is a registered charity based in Mid Sussex which provides a range of fun, inclusive activities in our local community and beyond, for children and young adults with learning disabilities as well as additional physical, sensory and behavioural difficulties. We enable our members to have a social life with their peers, giving them opportunities to enjoy a wide range of activities, while being supported by experienced staff and volunteers.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB You will be working jointly with the incumbent Funding and Communications Manager and the Trustee Board to ensure long-term sustainability of Kangaroos and delivering to the strategic plan. Key responsibilities will be:  To work with the Board and staff/volunteers to achieve Kangaroos’ strategy, and deliver the operational plans and monitoring and evaluation framework.  To ensure that Kangaroos’ services are service participant led responding to the needs of service participants and their families/carers at all times, and provide a safe and stimulating environment.  To represent Kangaroos, build strong local and community relationships that support the delivery of better outcomes and results.  To ensure Kangaroos has the structures and systems in place to provide effective, quality service that meets PQASSO standards.
The job role will be based in our offices in Haywards Heath, for 4 days a week with a salary of £30,000 (£24,000) pro rata.
