Since the Millennium we have annually provided Humanitarian Aid organised by the Lions Belarus Trust to The South East Corner of Belarus most affected by the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station Disaster.   We know that many of you have been collecting goods for this years appeal and we know that the needy families and orphanages in Belarus are eagerly awaiting those goods for which they are always extremely grateful.

Haywards Heath Lions regularly contribute to the appeal and have, in the past, collected from all the schools in and around Haywards Heath.  Our contributions go toward the provision of one or two large trailer lorries full of shoeboxes containing essential, but not degradable products i.e. food stuffs etc.

This year that shipment is in peril simply because we cannot find a warehouse to sort and pack the goods.   After many well intentioned false leads and blind alleys we are now just weeks away from the project with nowhere to go.

Ideally the warehouse will be about 3000 sq ft in area with electricity, good access for deliveries and for an articulated lorry with 44ft trailer and available to us from the end of July to mid September.   Size and dates can be flexible and a small budget may be available.  In the past we have made charitable donations in return for use of premises.

We appeal to you to help us to keep this most worthwhile project going into the future but particularly this year.

Please contact Peter Parr on 07711 912163 if you can help.
