On Saturday 23 January, St Peter & St James Hospice is holding its first ever 12-hour Dance-A-Thon kick-starting 2016 with a fun-filled day of dance for all ages. As seen on BBC Strictly Come Dancing, the Hospice’s Patron, Katie Derham, had a great time learning new steps. The event is in aid of the Hospice and everyone is invited to join by registering online.

The Dance-A-Thon will start at 10am and run through until 10pm at Clair Hall, in Haywards Heath, finishing with a ‘Swoove Ignite’ party with Esther Featherstone, from 6pm. As well as having fun and getting fit, there will be the chance to try Zumba, Bollywood, Salsa, Swoove and other classes being run by fantastic dance instructors. The classes last for an hour, so people can come for a couple of hours or join in for the whole day – joining as a team of five means that people can take part in the 12-hour challenge in shifts.

Eleanor Gloster, Events and Community Manager at St Peter & St James Hospice, said, “We’re delighted to be hosting a charity Dance-A-Thon, following in the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ footsteps of our Patron, Katie Derham. This is a great chance for everyone to have fun and dance their way to raising money for their local Hospice”
