The grand opening of the popular reindeer attraction will be on Sunday 22 November at Garden Pride Garden Centre, Ditchling Common.  Father Christmas will be arriving at 11am to meet everyone and open his grotto. This is a fantastic festive event with half the income in support of St Peter & St James Hospice.

The Winter Wonderland Weekends run for four weekends, until Sunday 20 December, with tickets priced at £3 per person (children and adults) and every child receiving a book.

  • Saturday 11am – 5pm
  • Sunday 11am – 4.30pm

Carol Hughes, Community Fundraiser, said, “Meeting the reindeer is fun for all the family and, this year, we have pygmy goats too. It’s a great way of supporting the Hospice because it’s fun for all the family while knowing that your support really makes a difference to how we can care for our patients.”

Christmas cards are for sale in St Peter & St James shops in aid of the Hospice. Please support the Hospice by purchasing these cards for Christmas.

There is a selection of 12 Christmas cards to choose from this year and they will all be available in the Hospice’s charity shops and Reception. To view details and see the designs go to and call the Retail Mail Order line on 01825 763239 to place the order.

There will also be local Lewes and Lindfield Christmas card designs and the original paintings have again been donated by the publisher and will be available to bid for in the Silent Auctions to be held in the Hospice shops at the top of Lewes High Street and ‘Furniture, Garden & Home’ store in Lindfield.

The Hospice relies on the local community for 86% of its funding and everyone at St Peter & St James is grateful for the support and generosity.
