Did you know that you could be entitled to £3,000 to help you pay for the installation or equipment for an internet upgrade? This isn’t something you need to pay back either.
The Connection Voucher Scheme, delivered by the Department of Culture, Media & Sport, has been active for over a year now, and Haywards Heath has recently been included.
Last year, Brighton City Council had £1.5m on offer to businesses located in postcodes BN1 to BN3, but a recent extension of the scheme and a border increase, has meant that nearby towns have been included. Since April 1st 2015 small and medium sized businesses are as far out as Haywards Heath, Chichester, Lewes and Seaford can take advantage of it.
The £3,000 can be used in a number of ways. It can pay for the installation of a dedicated leased line, or you could move to superfast broadband without paying for equipment, line connection or anything else.
HHDBA members, OptaNet, have been delivering for SMEs throughout Sussex. They are an approved supplier by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport and have helped businesses benefit from the scheme as much as possible.
