Radical change through technology has moved from the slow moving backstage to the fast moving front of house. What place does strategic planning processes like scenario planning have for a business today?

In a 90 minute session futurist Nick Price will show scenario planning can be used not only as a tool for long-term planning but for business transformation. Moving from a traditional business to a digitally enhanced one is challenging for any organisation. Thinking terms of possible futures gives breathing room to consider new ways of working. Attendees would take away a framework to thinking about the future of their business.

Session includes

Introduction to Futures thinking, Scenario planning primer, futures for the new millennium of business and exercise.

Nick Price is an experienced, qualified futurist who works with small, medium and large fortune 500 companies to look into their future. Nick has a background in banking, technology and design. He has lived and worked across the globe including senior roles in Philips Design (part of Royal Philips Electronics) in the Netherlands and Microsoft in their head office in Redmond USA. Nick is also member of several futurist networks including Association of Professional Futurists, World Futures Society. As well as his consulting work Nick is also a futures and strategy advisor to Brighton Chamber of Commerce board.

In an earlier life Tim was a front line Police Officer for 10 years, and has worked both here in England and in the Channel Islands.

Members Meeting : Election of Officers 28th April 2015 18.00- 20.00

This is a very important meeting and we hope as many members as possible will attend. The main business is to elect the officers and committee for 2015/16. Chair Maureen Scholefield is always keen to hear from any volunteers for a committee place, or to be a member of one of our task groups – Connect to recruit members; Communicate to promote the Association, Develop to plan our programmes and Grow to consider the best ways of sharing knowledge to grow your business.

The meeting is also an opportunity to hear what the HHDBA has planned and to have your say on its future development.
