Welcome Meeting hosted by St Peter & St James Hospice 2nd October 2014 18.00 – 20.00

St Peter & St James warmly invites you to a special Welcome Evening at the new Wellbeing Centre at the Hospice on Thursday, 2nd October from 6-8pm.

As you know, HHDBA has chosen to support the Hospice as their charity of the year and already we have received over £790 and we are only half way through the year! Come and see how you have been helping us over the last few months! We are very excited that we have now opened Beacon View Wellbeing Centre for our day patients and hospice users. After a challenging few months and thanks to the generosity of the local community, we have been able to open the new facilities, albeit on a limited basis initially.

Guests from HHDBA are invited to come from 6-8pm for refreshments and a tour of our new building and see for themselves what a lovely facility it is for our patients. Weather permitting guests can also wonder round our beautiful grounds, set in the heart of Sussex countryside

St Peter & St James Hospice only receives 14% of funds from the NHS. We need to raise £2.6m per year, which works out at £7,200 per day. We can only provide the vital services that we do thanks to the generosity of the local community.

Controlling your cash 8th October 07.30 – 08.45

One criteria for examining the financial health of a company is the status of its cash flow, how long does it take to collect its debts? Additionally improving cash flow reduces borrowing and in freeing up cash within your business it allows you to invest in your own success. The aim of the talk is to highlight how to improve internal procedures such as what to look for in terms of being proactive in managing cash flow, risk assessment, when a statutory demand may be appropriate, when proceedings ought to be considered, issuing a claim, claiming interest and obtaining judgment and enforcing judgment. All of which are useful tools to improve cash flow.

Networking Drinks 14th October 2014 17.45 – 19.30

Idlewild in the Broadway is the place to be for the HHDBA highly successful networking event. Meet in the main bar area, buy a drink, enjoy some free nibbles and network furiously.

Bring along a friend and introduce them to the HHDBA!

Mid Sussex District Council – Open 4 Business 21st October 2014 14.00 – 18.30

The event is hosted by Mid Sussex District Council, sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses, and supported by Burgess Hill Business Parks Association, East Grinstead Business Association, and Haywards Heath and District Business Association.

The event will aim to support a wide variety of businesses in, or offering services to, the Mid Sussex area. The relaxed and informal networking atmosphere will provide the opportunity to:

· promote your business and increase sales leads

· gain business guidance and knowledge first hand

· share business experiences and contacts

At the event there will be a range of information on Business Grants, Funding and Business Support along with a brief presentation on these topics.
