BHMB Exhibition Friday May 9th – please note

The big day is now just over a week away, and we hope that the 2014 BHMB Exhibition will be the best yet.

logoHere are some facts and some notes for exhibitors which may be useful about what, when, how and where for next Friday :-

  • The name of the exhibition is “Burgess Hill Means Business 2014”
  • This is its 6th year, and the 1st at The King’s Centre
  • It is sponsored by Sussex Living Magazine
  • It will be open between 9.30 and 3.30
  • The Leader of MSDC will open the event at 9.30
  • Nicholas Soames, MP, will say a few words at 1pm

  • Exhibitors can access the venue to set up between 3pm and 6pm on Thursday 8th May, or from 7am on 9th May
  • Loading doors are available on the northern end of the front of the building
  • There is a limited number of parking spaces outside the venue, and roadside parking is available in the surrounding streets. Please try to limit the number of vehicles you bring
  • Please sign in and collect your name badge from reception on arrival
  • Breakfast (butties & Danish pastries) and lunch (sandwiches, pies, baguettes) will be available to purchase in the foyer at the venue, as well as teas and coffees all day.
  • The opening times of the event are 9.30 – 3.30. Please do not begin packing up before 3.30
  • The floor plan of stands with names can be found here
  • There will be a Business Drop-In Clinic taking place between 11 and 12 am, where free advice is available about PR, Insurance, Accountancy, Legal Issues and HR
  • There will be prizes for the most interesting or eye-catching stands
  • Make sure you put a business card into the bowl at reception to have a chance of winning one of the many raffle prizes
  • Sample treatments and medical assessments are available at the event
  • Two of the 75 stands will be taken by our German partners from Schmallenberg
  • There is some entertainment lined up during the day
  • At least one group of students will be coming round to look at potential workplaces in the town. Please answer their opening question
  • You should email all your business contacts over the next week, to suggest that they come along on the day
  • Please also suggest at your business if on Victoria BP that everyone comes along for an hour to look around and meet other companies and their staff
  • If you wish to talk privately with someone during the event, contact me and I’m sure it can be organised in a smaller meeting room
