HHDBA’s successful Professional Services Group (PSG) has ‘grown up’ into ACTION LEARNING to serve and benefit all local businesses, with the first of its new bi-monthly meetings set for 6th November at the United Services Club in Wivelsfield Road.
Since its inception 15 months ago, the PSG has provided confidential, specialist, peer to peer support to local business. Using Action Learning, an approach to joint problem solving pioneered by Professor Reg Revans of Salford Business School, PSG has helped over 58 companies. It’s also provided strong friendships and collaborations throughout the sector.
As Organiser, Stephen Hillier, says: “Because of this success, we wanted to make sure we continued to give real value to ALL our members, so we’re looking forward to welcoming a myriad of companies, from retailers and manufacturers to plumbers and electricians.”
Stephen feels that the new Action Learning will also appeal to senior executives from the large companies in the area: “For them, it’s a fabulous opportunity to broaden their business horizons and soak up a wide range of commercial skills and contacts in order that they can contribute more fully to their own companies and, indeed, their own personal development,” he adds.
Meetings are held bi-monthly on a Tuesday evening at the United Services Club in Sussex Road. They commence promptly at 6pm and aim to finish by 7.45pm and cost just £5 for HHDBA members, which includes a light buffet. For more details please contact Stephen Hillier – firstname.lastname@example.org / 0783 020 0722. The next meeting is on the 6th November and after that 15th January 2013.
