Members will be aware that the Highways Agency are currently widening the A23 between Handcross Hill and Warninglid to make journeys quicker and more reliable, as well as improving access to Gatwick Airport and the M25.  These works will last until Autumn 2014.
The roadwork’s are subject to a 40 mph speed limit and policed by Average Speed Cameras using automatic number plate recognition software – the first time that this technology has been used in Sussex.
These limits are for safety reasons and clearly in members interests to be aware.
